I’m really impressed by the level of comfort and support that the Aeris Travel Pillow provides. Quality materials, attention-to-detail design and added bonus sleeping mask, carry case and earplugs make this neck travel pillow difficult to ignore.

I found the Aeris travel pillow to be extremely comfortable. The memory foam strikes the right balance between supportive firmness and comforting softness. And the removable velour cover is luxuriously soft – the textured rippled pattern feels fantastic to the touch. The fact it is washable is definitely a bonus!
Like all other neck pillows for travel, you wear the Aeris by hugging it around the back of your neck like a scarf. A nice feature is the pair of adjustable toggles – simply snap these together, and then adjust them so the pillow fits your neck snugly. This makes the Aeris travel pillow really adaptable for different sized people. Having a comfortably snug fit is desirable as it helps prevent your head moving forwards and side-to-side – in turn reducing aches and pains.
After prolonged use, many memory foam travel pillows do get uncomfortably warm due to body heat. Aeris has thoughtfully drilled ventilation holes into the memory foam. These ventilation holes combined with the velour cover allow the travel pillow to breathe so it does not get too warm. This is not a feature I’ve seen too much of, so top marks Aeris!
One minor complaint is that the back section of the Aeris travel pillow (the part that sits behind your neck) is a little on the thick side. More petite people may find this a little uncomfortable, as the thickness of the back section could potentially angle their head slightly forwards. Some neck travel pillows have a tapered section here, which I would have liked to see. I personally didn’t find this an issue, it was extremely comfortable – but smaller customers should keep this in mind.
The Aeris travel pillow gets top marks in the design department. For a start it looks great. It comes in a range of 4 colours, and the textured finish of the cover is a nice touch. Sometimes its the little details which help a product stand out.
The materials all appear to be of the highest quality, it feels particularly well made. The fact that Aeris offers a lifetime free replacement guarantee certainly reinforces the quality of the product. As mentioned above, the ventilation holes drilled into the memory foam are a great idea, Aeris have clearly done their homework. Additionally, the Aeris travel pillow is aerated for 7 days during manufacturing. This allows the odour of the memory foam to dissipate. Once again, Aeris pays attention to the little details.
The Aeris travel pillow has a removable cover which is 100% machine washable, which is great news. And I like that the recessed zipper on the back side of the pillow is almost invisible. Finally, the toggles which allow you to adjust how snug the pillow fits are a fantastic feature.
Memory foam travel pillows don’t always score so well in this category. However I’m happy to say that the Aeris travel pillow compresses down to half its expanded size. To do this simply roll the pillow in on itself like a sausage. It requires a little bit of pressure to do so, but the foam really does compress down a lot. Its a pretty straight-forward procedure, and does not take much time at all. When you take it back out of the bag, the memory foam magically expands back to its original shape.
Then its a matter of popping it into the nifty-looking nylon travel bag. The bag has a lockable drawstring which helps keep it compressed nice and small. The bag comes with a handy velcro strap, which is perfect to attach it to your luggage. Alternatively, once its in its bag, the Aeris travel pillow could fit into a large purse or a backpack without too much of a struggle.
The Aeris travel pillow is mid-priced for a memory foam travel pillow. Helping it stand out from the pack here is the fact that it comes with some great extra products. Throw a sleeping mask and a pair of earplugs into the equation and you’re certainly getting value for money here.
Then there are the other features which all tick boxes. It compresses down and fits into a carry bag, the ventilated memory foam helps the pillow not heat up and the adjustable toggles let you adjust the fit of the pillow. And finally, perhaps most importantly, it is very, very comfortable. There are certainly cheaper pillows on the market, but the Aeris travel pillow represents excellent value for the dollars spent.
