The “pretzel-like” BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow is an interesting improvement on the traditional horse-shoe shaped Travel Pillow. It claims to prevent forward head movement whilst also providing superior side movement support.

Comfort

The BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow is certainly a comfortable pillow. It has a nice squishy firmness to it and the micro-fleece lining is soft and doesn’t irritate. The real hallmark of the pillow is that it prevents forward head movement. This is something that most U shaped neck pillows struggle with. By decreasing the size of the cushioning in the back, it helps your head to stay slightly back.

In addition to this, the two ends of the pillow overlap each other to at the front. They sit under your chin and fill the space between your chin and chest. Ideally, your head will stay in place while you sleep. Realistically, your head moves a bit when sleeping and the ends of the pillow will need to be re-adjusted.

There are 3 different “modes” of wearing the BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow:

BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow

Comfort mode provides support for sleeping with your head slightly tilted whilst keeping some resistance for forward movement.

Full support mode is probably the most common mode for those who want our heads to stay upright.

Side sleeper mode provides a lot more support for the head tilt. It doesn’t provide as much resistance for your head leaning forward however.

Compared to most traditional neck pillows, the BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow is excellent. When you have it in your preferred position it provides a fair amount of support to your neck. It does get a little hot though as the micro-fleece doesn’t allow for much ventilation. Great if you’re cold! Not so great in hot weather or low air flow environments.

Design

The BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow has some really good design components. Firstly, it’s machine washable (always a plus). Secondly, the way they have padded the pillow is really quite clever. When wearing in full support mode, the sides of the pillow bulge out like biceps. There is less padding at the back and therefore your head stays more or less in place.

I wish there was some way you could fix it in place. My suspicions are that BCOZZY are worried about getting locked in to your pillow as they provide no fixing options. Having to readjust and learn the ins and outs of this pillow are a must.

Remember as well – this travel pillow goes around your neck. Although it doesn’t feel incredibly tight, those that have a fear of being constricted might want to avoid.

Lastly, I have seen some issues with the stitching around the seam. Some cases where the seam has split to expose the polyester inside. All in all it’s certainly a step up from the traditional design.

Portability

It certainly isn’t the smallest pillow on the market (9.8 x 11 x 4.7 inches). You can squish it down into a reasonable size but it’s not really ideal. It does come with a clip however that you can use to attach to your bag.

The adult size should fit all shapes and sizes and they also have a kids size too. I would contact the manufacturer before purchasing if you have an abnormally sized head though! I have read on the internet that it has been too small for some.

There is also a size for kids! So if you are tiny like my Mum, it might be worth checking that one out too!

Value

The BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow is just about right in terms of price. It offers it’s patented design for not too much more than an airport micro-bead monstrosity. Apart from the occasional seam busting open I haven’t seen any other manufacturing issues. It’s also machine washable so you should get some mileage from it.

Probably the most comparable pillow to the BCOZZY Travel Pillow is the J-Pillow. They sit around the same in terms of price which is about right.

PROS:
  • Provides support for head neck and chin
  • Great for Adults and Children
  • Multiple wearing styles

CONS:
  • Gets a little warm
  • Reported cases of seams tearing

Review – BCOZZY Chin Supporting Travel Pillow
After some extended use, I've decided this is an excellent pillow. For those of us who suffer from claustrophobia of the neck, it may not be for you. For anyone else unsatisfied with traditional U shaped pillows, the Bcozzy is EXCELLENT. Don't be put off by the strange shape, it is really an excellent pillow

I wanted to review this pillow on Amazon (it was a gift), but they would not give me access. Wonderfully comfortable neck pillow that is versatile and easy t transport. The filing is comfortable. Thanks so much!

Another travel pillow that doesn’t allow me to sleep. Yes, comfortable enough to wear but as soon as you nod off and your head falls forward you wake up. I need one that doesn’t allow my head to droop at all.
