The MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow is an inflatable pillow with humps to prevent sideways movement. Cheap and comes with ear plugs, carry bag and an eyemask. What could possibly go wrong?!

I’m going to preface everything I say in this review with: “This is one of the cheapest inflatable travel pillows you can buy on the market”. Now if you will keep that in mind, it will give this review a little more perspective. Actually, the MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow is a decent pillow!
The design is reminiscent somewhat of the Kmall inflatable pillow, which I’ve heard is actually a copy of the popular Aircomfy Daydreamer. Although not an exact copy, it is similar in that it has raised supports on either side of your head.
The shape of the inner part of the MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow is rounded and quite small in radius. It offers an easy to use valve for you to blow up manually. It takes no time at all to blow up or inflate and you don’t need a lot of pressure to do so. Those with small lung capacity can rejoice! Somewhere in the description it says you can use a pump but there was not one included in the product itself.
The cover is a plush velour style, common with many blow up neck pillows. It is 100% machine washable. The inner is inflatable PVC material.
The MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow also comes with ear plugs and an eye mask. The eye mask and ear plugs are very much low tier quality but do the job just fine.
So far so good, or so I thought. The problem with the MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow is the many reports of pillows that don’t stay inflated. In fact, some arrived with holes already in the material. Others lasted a few hours before deflating completely.
This is always a hazard when purchasing an inflatable travel pillow. I will say though in my research, I saw a high number of this occurring. Beware! Buy your pillow well before you travel and test it thoroughly before going on a trip. If it’s faulty, return it with MLVOC’s defective product return policy, no problem.
Comfort wise, the MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow sits in the middle. It certainly helps you to feel more secure and relaxed. The cover is comfortable, there is a low chance of overheating and the side to side head movement is negated somewhat by the humps.
I would like some more vertical bulk in this pillow though. For me it should be a little thicker to offer better support. The humps at the back are great but perhaps should curve a little lower towards the middle. This is because the extra obstruction there actually promotes forward head movement. Being an inflatable pillow, there isn’t a great deal of pressure to tilt your head forward but it does exist.
This forward head movement could be satisfied somewhat with a clip or fastener at both ends. This would tighten up the pillow and help prevent tilting. The problem is, the round area where your neck sits is already uncomfortably small. Perhaps it works better for thinner necks and I really like how the shape contours around your neck. In fact I wish more travel pillows would do this – it just needs to be a little bigger.
All in all it’s pretty comfortable. It’s not a comfort revolution by any means but does the job a lot better than some products at around the same price and more.
It’s an inflatable neck pillow with a carry bag, of course it’s going to score points for portability right? Right. The MLVOC is incredibly easy to deflate and carry. The drawstring bag is easy to use and you can hook it onto your bag or similar.
Like the eye mask and to a lesser degree the ear plugs, the carry bag is cheaply made. It looks and feels like a something you would get for free at a conference or something. I wouldn’t count on it holding up to a rough and tumble adventure through the amazon rain forest or anything!
I can’t deny the good value of this inflatable pillow. It ticks most of the boxes in terms of comfort and design. My biggest concern (like with most cheaper products) is longevity and defects. There’s nothing worse than discovering a leak halfway through your 1 hour flight.
With that said, the extras are a nice touch, albeit low quality. If you’re looking for a decent inflatable neck pillow and you’re in a financial pinch, the MLVOC is probably one of my top recommendations.
- Good value sleep set with extras
- Incredibly easy and fast to deflate/inflate
- Cover is soft and comfortable
- Curved inner area of pillow too small
- Back section too bulky, pushes head forward slightly
- Some products don’t stay inflated, defective products
The MLVOC Inflatable Neck Pillow is a decent attempt at an inflatable pillow. It's ergonomically aware compared to others in the same price range and comes with some great extras. Although it's certainly for smaller neck shapes, it's comfortable enough for the money you'd spend on it. Good job!
